We thought it would be a great idea to trial a New Young Travel group departure available only to senior travellers that do not have a travel companion to enjoy the occasional holiday. Let’s not let having no one to travel with stop us! I have met so many lovely single travellers through this site that I have teamed up with a Travel Agent to organise the first of hopefully many departures for single like minded senior travellers (you have to be over 50 years of age). The group will go ahead if we can get a minimum of 6 people to travel.
The tour is wonderful, with a nice mix of free time combined with day trips and optional tours that allow you to take in the cultural experiences and lush tropical scenery of Bali. Click here for the full itinerary.
We are happy to organise for you to share with someone else on the tour - with 2 or 3 people in a room. Or, if you like, you have the option of your own room. Prices for LAND ONLY are as follows:
AUD3251 for single room
AUD1909 per person for twin share (2 people in a room)
AUD1690 per person for tripple share (3 people in a room)
Prices include 13 nights in luxury hotels with lots of other inclusions as per the itinerary.
There are great fares to Bali we can also help you with on this tour, we will quote at the time of inquiry. We have not printed them because there are great fares coming out all the time.
If you would like further information, or would like to register your interest, please email me at or call me on 0408 225 766 (during the day time). You may also contact Rita, our travel agent on 02 9705 7863 or mobile 0401 452 442 or email

I cannot believe the cost of this tour! We have travelled to Bali regularly since 1987 and of course have seen most of the island in that time.
Whilst your tour is very comprehensive, it does not cover all meals - dining is so very cheap in Bali!
My husband and I will be in Bali late May/early June for 16 days - the cost - airfares (Virgin return fron Sydney)including air taxes accommodation and breakfast for both of us is $2,100.
The accommodation is 3.5 star, which in Bali is usually excellent.
I hope you get the numbers, good on you for trying, but it really is far to dear for Bali!

I was also looking fwd to this, but after extensive research tend to agree with “sandiefran”.
The Almighty Dollar can be enjoyed elsewhere...probably safer too!

OK everyone, I hear you! What would you like to do? A cheap “fly and flop” type holiday - like a nice resort in Bali? We are not set in stone, so let me know what your ideal scenario for a holiday with other single travellers would be and we can look into it. Or if safety is a concern, do you want to stay more local, like QLD or somewhere to make the most of the dollar at the momehnt? What do you think?

I think alot will depend on “time of year”! Personally, I loathe Winters - If it is going to take place in Aug/Sept/ - top W.A., NT,
Whitsundays, Nt Is. of NZ incl. BAY OF ISLANDS - there really are some great deals around for people that research.
Of course, it is a group decision,
my choice wld. be Nth Is.N.Z.- Auckland upwards etc wth few days dedicated to Bay of Islands.
This can be accomplished in ten and not 14 days. What would others like?
All feedback greatly appreciated

Bali is safe!
We have been going to Bali since 1987, and we do not do the backpacker night club scene.
We are back to Bali next month - May/June - and will be feeling a lot safer there than in some parts of Sydney!!!!

Tnx for feedback sandiefran.
Wld love to spend a Melbourne winter in Bali, I know many people who happily return to Bali annually.
Have bn there before but many, many years ago, plus Figi, Phuket, Chang Mai, Bangkok, Singapore etc.
That we have /or have had the opportunity to visit all these destinations, feel we are truly blessed.
It also always makes me proud to return to ‘OZ’ singing “I still call Australia home”

It is with disappointment I find no further comments re Bali or to any where, since of my last Post 21-04-10.
The team at NewYoungTravel are willing to cooperate, but where is group interest to make it viable???

So far this year I have had 28 days in India - single willing to share - but no one did so I was single all the way. Fabulous - with Wendy Wu. Also did a Uniworld European River Cruise - no single supplement in July/August.
Next week will be going to London and then doing 26 nights cruising to the Baltic and then the Med - this time I was able to convince my husband to come along.
Single deals are out there, we just need to hunt them down.
But Bali is really no fun on one’s own - it’s a sharing place!
